The Adjunct Culinary Arts Professor instructs lecture and lab classes in the Culinary Arts Program.
The salary for this position is $650 per credit hour.

Responsibilities:
75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester.
10% Works as a team member in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Programs; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.
10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

Qualifications:
Associate's degree in culinary arts or hospitality with an emphasis on culinary arts.
Appropriate certification or ability to be certified by the American Culinary Federation or other appropriate culinary accrediting agencies.
A minimum of 3 years work experience in the culinary industry.
Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
Excellent computer and multi-media skills.
This position requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing and repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping.
Preferred:
Previous successful experience teaching in the area of culinary arts at the university or community college level; however professional experience may be held as equivalent.
Preferred:
Experience in tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.
This position requires original transcripts and three professional references.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
