For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu in Denison, Texas for sale in Denison, TX
Vehicle Description $19,900 is the correct price for this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu.
VIN:
136177A112157.
This is NOT an SS but it does have SS emblems on the grill and rear tail panel.
I didn't put the emblems on, so complain to someone else.
It is a 13617 car - so that makes it a non Super Sport Malibu.
Yes, it does need work (that's why it's $19,900 and not $35k).
It is a great project that you can drive while you fix it up.
Equipped with a rebuilt 350 engine (Edelbrock 600 carburetor, Air-Gap Intake, HEI distributor, headers) and a Muncie M20 4 speed manual transmission (car originally had an automatic transmission).
Non-posi 10 bolt rear end (highway gears - probably 3.
42).
Has power steering and has been upgraded with a CPP power disc brake conversion kit.
This is a factory air-conditioned car but the compressor and mounting brackets are missing.
Most other AC parts are still there.
The body is solid.
It passed the Magnet Test just fine.
The magnet stuck everywhere on the car, bottom of fenders, bottom of doors and quarter panels, around the windshield and around the back window - all good.
I could not find any signs of body filler.
The trunk floor has been patched (amateur job) The passenger front floorboard has been replaced (good job).
The original color was code D (Nantucket Blue).
It was repainted several years ago to Marina Blue.
The paint job is shiny and glossy but has several scratches and chips.
Has a small dent above the left rear wheel and the very bottom of the left quarter panel is rolled under slightly (probably from a blow-out, I'm guessing).
The interior is complete and in good condition overall but will need new door panels and a dash pad.
The seats, headliner and carpet are in good condition.
The interior was originally code 728 (Medium Blue).
The interior has been changed to black.
Has 15x7 Rally Wheels with Cooper Cobra white letter tires.
The front tires are 235/60 and in good condition.
The rear tires are 275/60 and are brand new.
The engine runs great and the transmission shifts fine.
Clutch feels ok.
Has dual exhaust with headers.
The car drives ok but does have some slack in the steering - it wanders a little.
The brakes stop good.
Here are the known issues:
The brake lights and taillights do not work.
The windshield wipers do not work.
The gas gauge does not work.
I have not diagnosed these issues.
Has an oil leak at front of the engine - not a big leak, but it definitely has an oil leak.
Has a minor exhaust leak at the header gasket.
If this type of stuff seriously worries you, then perhaps a 55 year old classic car is not a good idea.
The 5 digit odometer reads 18,883 miles and I'm sure it has rolled over at least once.
Has a clean and clear Texas title.
This is a rare opportunity to own a solid, good looking, running and driving Chevelle for under $20k.
I have priced it to sell quickly and no, I will not take less.
